it makes me very happy...

From now until September I could easily title every post "I love summer", with a photo of something simple and summery that makes me happy. Every single day I find new things to love.

Like being outside all day long.
aaalllll day long.
in the sunshine.

Digging in the dirt.
Weeding (ok, lets not lie. I hate weeding, but love being in the garden with the kids)
Roses. in my house. to smell.

Sweating outside in the sun, and stopping for a drink of ice cold water.
Bonus: Ice cold water with lemon and mint.
..
Giving Charly a bath.
A clean dog.
bonus: a clean dog that smiles for  pictures.
.
Swimsuits all day.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack.
Still in swimsuits.
.
We have more and more tiny green tomatoes each day.
Farmers Market on Saturday.
Cars 2 this weekend! The boy has been counting down for months!
One last big project and Robby is officially done with school for the summer!!!
I He We have made it through the first year!

What makes you happy?

It's winter over here so the wintery things keeping me happy are:
Hot cups of chamomile tea with lemon, dried dates stuffed with walnuts, long walks under the clear blue midwinter sky, sleeping in on a Sunday morning with a cat curled warmly at my side, and planning a midwinter escape to LA to see my beloved.

I love your blog! And memories make me happy...and thinking of those to still be created. You should think of linking up to Flashback Fridays- I think you'd have fun with it. Check it out on my 50 in 50 page if you want. Happy Friday!

Cars 2!! My C woke up this morning and ran into our announcing that today is the day! After the movie we are going camping. Camping speaks summer. There is still room for you guys if you wanna come!

I never really appreciated summer until this year. I love the heat on my skin (with sunblock of course) and playing outside in the yard. I love that my son can be outside and be free. I love sitting on the back porch and sipping a glass of wine at the end of the day, listening to the chickens and waiting for the stars to appear.

I've always wondered who would it feel like to be in four seasons countries. I've been reading your blog about how exciting it is to grow a plant with your cute kids...

Here in Indonesia is pretty much like everyday-is-summer, but it feels so boring sometimes :)

I love this... I Love Summer. You can't even say it without smiling. Since my life is in a whole lot of chaos... these photos make me breath slower. Thanks.

I love how you appreciate the simple things so much... I'm in love with the sunshine right now. It makes me so happy! And so does the time I can spend with my friends. And how much I'm changing this summer. And how good of a mood summer puts everyone else in. And the strawberry ice cream in my freezer. And the strawberry cake in my fridge. And the fact that I got to go pick the strawberries that went into said ice cream and cake this morning. HOORAY! Life rocks <3
