It's really hard to come back from a place where:
-you can wear sandals
-colorful fruits, vegetables, and flowers are happily growing. In the ground. And you can buy them. And eat them...mmm
-the farmer's market runs year round and you don't have to wait until June.
-everything is green, and not dead
-there are blossoms on trees
-you can drive with your window down
-temperatures that start with a 6....a SIX!! (61°!)
......
It's not fair, is it?

Maybe that's why I have such a hard time with winter. Because I grew up in Southern California and I know it doesn't have to be this way! :) Love the photos. Hope you enjoyed your time in the warm!

ummm... this is a little torturous since I woke up to snow on the ground. but it will come soon. please enjoy all that fresh fruit and veggies for me!
I know you may hate me after this, but I am freezing and so bummed when the number starts with 6 here. No park day for us unless closer to 7. Haha and it was in the high 7's on saturday. We got sunburns.

i'm totally feeling you. az was warm and promising. ar is teasing and torturing me.
Torture!! That's some beautiful "rhubarb." :) (I'm sure you figured out by now that red chard is just called rhubarb chard because it looks like rhubarb, not because it IS rhubarb, haha.)
I know it's all true, and amazing! I live 4 hrs. south of SF and it's the same here with the farmer's market. Such a gift!

exactly...exactly why i MISS where i grew up. i miss california sunshine and i miss fresh fruits and veggies, that you can actually SMELL, that have a wonderful fragrance/odor to them...unlike the dead fruit in the stores in Utah. i miss my sunshine, i miss having small winters and i miss all the prettiness and green and flowery goodness of my homeland. hahhaha.
I have been reading this blog for a little while now and absolutely adore it.
After this post I tried Tony's pizza on my trip to San Fran, and you are right- it was amazing!!
