today. 3:30
I am thankful for snack time.
after school.
every day.
they sit.
they eat.
today, apples and peanut butter.
milk in Christmas mugs.
they talk.
we talk.
about the day.
about what they want for Christmas
(legos, new paint).
about what we would name a cat if we had one
(cookie, spaghetti, obi wan).
and just as I think it couldn't be more perfect,
the magic wears off, and they start to fight like only brother and sister can do.
but at least we had that moment.
What are YOU thankful for today?
feel free to play along in the comments, or on your own blog....you can link up;)

Your photos are just so lovely.
I'm thankful for my baby girl. <3
A cat named Obi Wan would be perfect. Today, I'm thankful for little boys and their laughter.
I love the way you describe that moment.
seriously does she got the cute curly bun going on like her mama? that is awesome!
today i am thankful for the light rail that my husband goes on to school-im glad i dont have to worry about him driving in this insane snow and ice. where did fall go?
love. i need to do a thankful post. or series of posts...it's been tugging at me...thanks for the reminder.
Today I am thankful for 8:15 am. That's when the kiddos go to school and the house is quiet. :0
Lovely photo! I'm thankful for my son's teacher who is opening his eyes to how fun reading can be, and having more patience than I do in teaching him to read. I'm thinking that I need to tell her this!
I am thankful for the little things that bring me joy. Yesterday I was riding my bike to take my daughter to school and I got to ride over and crunch over all of the crispy leaves. I feel like a kid, but I love walking or biking over them and hearing the sounds they make. Plus the sun was shining yesterday; it was a good day.
I too love after school snack time. And especially because Jack is famished and will eat whatever I put in front of him and it's a great way to get rid of the cracker box remnants and fruit that is about to turn.
Today, I am thankful for my husband's business that provides enough for us and I don't have to work to keep us afloat.
I'm thankful that I am able to take vacations! Like tomorrow I am heading across the country with my husband to see my Dad in Napa who I haven't seen in a year!
And I am thankful for my health and for the health of the little baby girl growing in my belly.
Gorgeous photo.
I know exactly what those days are like...I did a post on my own blog awhile back about a perfect afternoon, that ended in "perfect normal, everyday life".
I think you would enjoy and appreciate it...here's a link: http://pinkcookieswithsprinkles.blogspot.com/2010/02/perfectly-normal-day.html
Savor and treasure all of those sweet little moments...our young ones definitely grow up way too quickly.
