I served my mission in Russia where nearly every tomato I met was an heirloom. I, foolishly, judged them by their distinct and one-of-a-kind shape but once a slice was in my mouth I repented of jumping to unfair conclusions. Good growing!
are the screaming, "roast me! roast me!" or am i just hearing things??
i think i'm in love. i think they're asking to be sliced and placed on a toasted piece of marble rye with a bit of cream cheese and sea salt.
Those look so good! I would slice with salt pepper & a splash of balsamic
.. brings back childhood memories of warm tomatoes right off the vine... yum!
yummy! tomato and mozzarella salad??
