a christmas house has children,
bouncing off the walls,
hopped up on sugar and anticipation,
crazy,
crazy.
children.
a christmas house has sprinkles on the floor,
snowflakes in every corner,
and a mom with flour on her pants.
everywhere she goes.
a christmas house has jingle and jangle,
christmas tunes all day long,
and a favorite song sung every night at bedtime.
a christmas house has a place we go.
sssshhhhh it's a secret place.
under the tree,
we lay,
always looking up.
a christmas house has little feet that run,
to the window each morning,
to see if it has snowed.
IT SNOWED!
teeny tiny flakes.....but it's a start.
a christmas house has joseph, mary, and baby jesus.
they are sometimes joined in their manger by
-a lego man
-a my little pony
-other various little dolls who for some reason are always without clothing.
a christmas house has a mom that is waiting,
waiting,
school is almost out,
for her favorite three.
almost.
out
!
a christmas house has a fire.
stockings hung.
sparkling tree loaded with lights, garlands, mismatched ornaments from over the years,
and a crooked star.
a christmas house has a countdown.
12,11,10.....
christmas is coming.
we can't wait.

I love the look of your Christmasy house. Those vinatge-looking cookie cutters are adorable. I'm pretty sure we had some very similar ones growing up. You're creating some wonderful holiday memories for your family.

Gorgeous photos. And gorgeous Christmas house!
I love your photos and words. Captured Christmas perfectly. And our nativity set is frequently visited by three wise army men. ;)
I love the colors of your fruit basket with the little bits of evergreen.
And your boy is looking so big. Shh...forget I said that. ;-)
How fun! I love your Christmas house! And I can just see the excitement all over those two kids' faces!
Will you please make this post into a children's story book? Love it.
Love this post!
Yay for Christmas houses! Add in the scraps of wrapping paper sticking to the bottom of feet and our house is almost there. Merry Christmas.
I love that - looking up from under the christmas tree. So amazing.
Happy Christmas to you and your family:)
We had the same cookie cutters growing up! We still use them when we bake at my Mom's house before Christmas. Have you had them long? Love your Christmas house.
