well.....I guess to be all "official" we have about another week until summer.
but for us, it's here.
this is what summer means to me:
swimsuits. all day.
popsicles.
new freckles.
no shoes
dirty feet (see above)
staying outside to watch the sun go to sleep
homemade ice cream
mountain picnics
early early morning runs
s'mores
sleeping on a mountain top under a billion trillion stars
road trips
montana
bucket loads of zucchini
juicy red tomatoes, dripping down my chin
farmer's market
eating outside at lone star
family bike rides
cooking over a campfire
jam making
rodeos
fireworks
watermelon
....aaaaahhhhhh summer.

we just moved to a small town 2-3 weeks ago, in michigan and it's on the beach!
so for us summer is:
--beach daily!
--get up to see the sun rise over the beach
--swim lessons
--the De Young zoo
--family visiting our new home
--popsicles and coffee on the porch
--reading lots of books
--lots of walks
--collecting rocks on the beach
have a fabulous summer!

I love that you found Lone Star. It's my favorite place to eat ever. We went every week when we first moved back... so good! Maybe I will see you there someday.
