our country swimming pool......they did this for almost two hours.
Do you live in the West? So you are familiar with this crazy heat wave we are experiencing......hotttttttttttttttttt.
We are trying to beat the heat by playing in the hose, non-stop popsicles, and ice cream with friends on the lawn until the sun dips behind the mountains.
How do you beat the heat?

oh i really hope for you that it'll be cooler soon! and i really hope for me, that the weather stays that way here in munich (where the past 6 weeks were full of rain and rain and rain and rain)

I'm in California, and while our heat isn't as bad as some other parts of the Southwest, it's still pretty hot! I've been beating the heat with freezer hats -- take a damp washcloth, drape it over a bowl in your freezer for a couple of hours until it's frosty (and stiff!), then voila! Wear it as a hat until it thaws. Then freeze again and repeat! If you're really good, then you have a rotation of freezer hats going so that you don't have to wait for the first round to re-freeze. Makes for some cute photos, too. :)
we have an industrial carpet fan blowing basement air up from the bottom of our stairs. it makes our house smell like basement.
