book talk and some photos

I know I know. I owe you a big wordy healthy living post.
I sat down to write one and....got super distracted.
(um, Hunger Games, etc, not Twilight....ew)
(please don't send me hate mail for not liking twilight)
(please also know I think Edward is booooooring)
(I think I just lost half my readers)
I read the first last week, and I'm now on the second and in no time I'll be on number three (which I hear is not so good...?)

So instead you're getting a bunch of photos, taken out the car window as we drove down I-80.
I can't tell you how crazy eerie it is out there, especially during a sporadic sunset rainstorm.

Ooh, fabulous photos!

And I agree, Edward is boring. As is Bella!

You know, the third book in the series isn't as tightly written as the other two books (some events seem a little too perfect), but it is still, overall, unpredictable and thought-provoking. Enjoy!

I enjoyed the Twilight books, but hate the movies. The acting is terrible and makes me cringe.

Beautiful photos. I love big sky, and there is plenty of big sky to go around in those.

amazing pictures. can't wait for more healthy living posts!

i'm playing a little self-portrait-in-your-kitchen game on my blog. if anyone here wants to play along, i would love it!!!

I'm so glad you gave in and read the Hunger Games. I hope that the movie doesn't ruin the books.

beautiful big sky shots! I read the Hunger Games when I was laid up in the hospital after spinal surgery. It was a good escape :-)

Wow these photos are amazing!!! And the Hunger Games books are also amazing, I flew through the books and I have to say I liked the last one - gearing up to re-read them actually. :)

I have neither watched nor read Twilight.

I googled The Hunger Games. They sound really sad, but I might just have to try them seeing that so many of your readers enjoy them.

oh, those are just so pretty! i wish i was able to take shots like that (while in a bumpy car!)...so serene, peaceful, and full of wonder... <3

and yes, twilight was awful. i read it because my best friend ever bought it for me for my birthday (about 4 years ago...before i knew better!), and i hated it the whole way through. boring boring boring!

Can I recommend a book? The guernsey literary and potato peel pie society. Strange title, I know, but a funny feel good book!

I like your blog even more now that I know your a Twihater. I have a book blog and have to use up every ounce of self-control to not bash the series in every post.

I love the on-the-road feel of these images

I liked the 1st Twilight book and then didn't like any of the others that followed. I really disliked Bella and Edward's relationship. If a guy disabled my car because he didn't want me to go somewhere I would break up with him. Controlling much?
I have yet to read Hunger games but I may just start since so many people are fans.

Beautiful photographs. I just found your blog and I love it :)

Everyone in my family has read the Hunger Games books and totally loves them. I'm deep into the Harry Potter series but the H.G. trilogy is next on my list. (I promise I do read books for adults too). My husband's been talking about which Hollywood actress he wants to play Katniss in a movie (he's currently voting for the girl from True Grit).

only a seriously talented photographer can make that drive look beautiful, well done. hunger games wins vs twilight a gagillion to one.
