Dear Ponytail,
sitting atop my head.
Oh how I have missed you my friend! It has been over two years since you flopped about so carelessly up there.
You are still small. You are young. A bit awkward looking at times, and a little unsure of yourself....but I know some day you will be big and strong like the ponytails that came before you.
You are always so quick to come to my rescue on early mornings, long runs, or even sometimes, just because.
Don't get discouraged, when you hear those that may call you "frumpy", or "momish", they are just jealous of your relaxed lifestyle.
I'm sorry if I leave you up there for days at a time, I will try to care for you the best I can.
Just know that I love you, and I am so happy you are back.

I'm finally getting mine back, too! Never again will I cut my hair so short.
I always grow my hair out and wear it up everyday for months on end and then in a fit of rage I go to the hairdresser and chop it off and then I spend months growing my hair out so I can pile it on top of my head again only to repeat the cycle. ack.
haha, so cute! i've had long hair for past 11 (!!) years & am actually going to cut it short later this month! i am terribly scared & i think the thing i will miss most is being able to tie it in a ponytail.

I wish I'd written this post before you did! Same boat, my friend. I was just praising my ponytail the other day for the fact that she's been staying put for almost two months without any supporting bobby pins or clippys. Woot woot!
A pony tail is a girl's best friend. especially a busy running girl.

I am jealous, I REALLY really miss ponytails in the summer. I noticed on Sunday when we popped in to borrow your bathroom that your hair looked different, I thought "I don't think I've ever seen Sheena with her hair up" haha I didn't realize it's because you haven't been ABLE to put your hair up, duh. Just in time for running season, too!
