I love the wildflowers triptych. The one in the center grows EvErYwHeRe here al summer long. I love it. I've always dreamed of dropping my kids in a field of it and having their picture taken. Last week, I discovered they are known for being full of ticks.
I know. Your favorite bug.
Seriously, though. I picked three stems, looked down, and on ONE flower there were 3 of them. I decided they are pretty to look at from a distance, but not so much on my kitchen table. And I certainly won't be dropping my kids in a field of them anytime soon! You picture of them knocks the socks off any of my attempts. Thanks for capturing a photo of something that defines summer for us.
I just drove through Penryn (in an attempt to get my little guy to fall asleep). It's a lovely area...Loomis, Penryn, Auburn...if only we had the money to buy some property.
Guess what, I was born in Auburn. And my Grandma Sally and Grandpa Erv had a ranch in Penryn. And I have a bunch of family that lives in Roseville and Citrus Heights. And some good family friends live on a ranch in Newcastle.
Penryn is such a beautiful place. And so is Auburn. Great memories of both places.

I love your blog.
What a beautiful eye you have! I am enjoying these very much. Especially the grasses and the flowers.
