brrrrrr......

We are back!  How was your Thanksgiving? Did you stuff yourselves beyond consciousness?
I am still not even a bit hungry.....but I think I'm  having mashed potato withdrawals.

We traveled to Montana this year for Thanksgiving.
Barely made it there alive.
Although I do tend to be a bit dramatic.
The night before we left, the temperature at my parents house was -27°F. MINUS!!
By the time we arrived, I think it had warmed up to a balmy -8 or something.
I was pretty sure the wind took my face off when we stepped out of the car.
But somehow we lived to tell about it.
It made for a very cozy weekend.....we didn't have to be anywhere!
We didn't have to get dressed.
(although we did make the trip in "to town" to see Tangled. loooooooved it! Totally worth frostbitten limbs!!)
We could sleep in and drink hot cocoa with home made whipped cream all day.

Here are a few frosty photos. I get a shiver up my spine just looking at them.

Hmm I don't think I could live in a place like that. I get grumpy when it's below 20 degrees here. I don't think I could handle below zero. Although drinking hot cocoa with homemade whipped cream sounds heavenly, so maybe that makes up for the frozen tundra a little. :) Glad you had a fun, safe trip!

Cold!! That's all I think when I see those pictures.
But it's nice to travel to see family, wherever they may be.
Glad you had a good trip!

I can't even imagine what -27 feels like. From all your FB updates though, I'd say anything close to it is pretty unbearable. Glad you guys made it home. Definitely wasn't a great holiday weekend for traveling! I've heard good things about Tangled. Makenzie loooves Rapunzel so I can't wait for her to see it (we're too cheap to take them to the full-priced theatre so she's gotta wait til it hits the $1 one). Justin's grandma got her the Rapunzel barbie from that movie for her birthday and she was jumping up and down with excitement and she hasn't even seen it! haha

This looks just like Lyman! And the temps were very similar in our little towns this past week, but I stayed here, cuz I am a wimp! Glad you lived. Can't wait to catch up!

The photos from Montana are wonderful. I want to see Montana and this long distances. I'm from Bavaria/Germany. We have many snow too and it is very cold, but not so cold like Montana. A hot chocolate is just the thing for coldness.

Greetings.

I love that you are from Montana - I have always wanted to visit! Your photos do a super job of capturing the frozen-ness... I am getting colder just looking at them, too. Brr. And I also just wanted to say I love the text styling of your entries. Makes them sing :)
